
Fed will start FRTB model approvals for US banks in 2021
Senior official says banks should now be deciding desk structure and readying backtests

A senior Federal Reserve official has told US banks intending to use the internal models approach to calculate their new market risk capital requirements, that they should begin readying their models now for review and approval over the next two years.
